Christmas, Round 2

None of the out of town packages arrived in time for Christmas.  Not entirely surprising as we only get up to the US base to check our mail every 3 weeks or so (I did check 12/23 - the last day they were open before the holiday).  I went up to check this week and we had quite the haul!

Katy was overjoyed to be allowed to rip through the stack after dinner....

I'm not quite sure why she looks so serious in every picture - she was jumping up and down with giggling excitement the entire time.  Thank you everyone for the extended holiday!

Oh, You Want More than Santa?

The rest of Christmas Day was a big hit, too.  Due to mail issues, the only gifts that arrived on time were the ones we bought.  And since it was just the 3 of us, it didn't take long to get through the stack.  We spent a fantastic day just playing.

And eating.  Yum.

The dogs wanted in on the action, too.

And then the Christmas Crackers and crowns all around to end the day.

Santa Came!

A very excited little girl woke up at 5:30am and was promptly sent back to bed until 6 (Mommy needed time to rub her eyes and make a cup of coffee).  At not a second past, she re emerged....

Santa really did visit!

Elf Brings Presents!

Funny Old, our resident elf, brought his traditional gift offering before he headed back to stay with Santa for a long nap.
And then the traditional reading of "The Night Before Christmas."  Due to the magic if technology, Grandpa was able to read it even!  (He recorded himself reading it for me a few years ago)

Then off to bed to see if Santa really would come!
